In this post, I will be going over the tools you absolutely need to succeed with self-publishing.

The great thing about self-publishing is that it is a business that you can start with very little cost, with very basic tools and setups.

Some of these tools on the list are free, and some are paid. I do recommend you to utilize all of the tools listed here as not only it will save you a ton of time, but a ton of money in the long run as your books will sell better, you will avoid critical mistakes that could get your books blocked.

1. Publisher Rocket – this is my favorite out of every tool in the list. Publisher Rocket allows you to quickly research profitable niches and keywords, competitor analysis, provides you with the complete lists of all the possible Amazon categories you can add your book in, and most importantly, the AMS keywords research tool which provides you with hundreds of relevant, profitable AMS keywords you can target for your book in SECONDS.

2. Grammarly – You can add Grammarly as a chrome extension and it will correct any typos and other writing errors as you write anywhere which is very useful if you’re writing the book yourself or blogging. But I mainly use the premium feature to check for plagiarism on the book I get back from the ghostwriters. You can literally check the entire book with a click of a button, compared to the alternative Copyscape where you need to cut and paste a page at a time. And it’s a lot more accurate too.

3. Fiverr – I never would have thought I’d spend such a small fortune on this website when I first started using them. Fiverr is a freelancing site that offers a variety of services in pretty much any topics. I mainly use it for my online marketing and self-publishing business such as creating book covers, converting a book cover to paperback covers, formatting my book, etc.  You can get amazing quality work for an incredibly affordable price.

You can get 20% off your first order from Fiverr with this link – https://seandollwet.com/fiverr

For now, these are the 3 essential tools that I think everyone who’s in the self-publishing business should have. I will be adding/updating these lists frequently so let me know if you have any tools you want me to cover in the future.
